The Fundación para la Mejora de la Vida, la Cultura y la Sociedad (“Fundación Mejora”), with registered office at Calle Santa Catalina, 7, 5º Izda, 28014 Madrid, with tax identification number (CIF) G-87339412 and telephone 91 2092178, registered as a Foundation under number 1780 in the Register of Foundations, is the owner of the website www.mejorandolasociedad.org and the data controller for the processing of your personal data.

The Fundación Mejora undertakes to comply with the Spanish and European legislation in force on data protection [Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights] and is committed to processing your data in a lawful, fair and transparent manner, ensuring that your personal data is protected and will not be used improperly.

By providing us with your personal data and/or using our websites, we understand that you have read and understood the personal data protection information set out in this Privacy Policy.

2. INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE COMPLETION OF FORMS:

All fields in the website forms are mandatory, so failure to complete any of them may make it impossible to access the services or for the requested information to be provided to you.

The information provided must be accurate, truthful, up to date and free of errors, and you must notify the Fundación Mejora, as soon as possible, of any modifications and rectifications to your personal data by sending an email to: fundacion@mejorandolasociedad.org.

Likewise, by clicking the “Accept” button (or equivalent) included in the forms, you declare that the information and data provided are accurate and truthful.

 

3. GENERAL INFORMATION: DESCRIPTION OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy contains a table identifying, for each of the different types of data processing carried out by the Fundación Mejora, the following information:

• The category of personal data subject to processing.

• The purposes of the processing of the personal data.

• The legal basis for the processing of the personal data for each of the stated purposes.

• The recipients to whom the personal data processed is disclosed.

• The retention period for the personal data processed.

As regards the disclosure of personal data to third parties, the Fundación Mejora may grant access to the personal data for which it is the data controller to those service providers acting as data processors. These companies will only have access to the personal data necessary to carry out the contracted services, and the Fundación Mejora requires them to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information for which it is the data controller, which they may not use in any way. Likewise, for the purpose of compiling statistics, the Fundación Mejora may provide certain information about users in dissociated form to third parties, including its advertisers.

Contact and website enquiry data

 

· Administrative management.· Sending information about services, activities, courses and events of interest run by the Fundación Mejora.

· Processing of data collected through the contact forms on the Fundación Mejora’s websites for the management of Advisory, Documentation, Training, Publications and Representation enquiries.

· Consent of the data subject. Article 6.1(a) GDPR. · No data will be disclosed to third parties except where legally required. · Data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any potential liabilities that may arise from that purpose and from its processing.
Event and activity attendee data

 

· Maintenance, development and control of the relationship established between the Fundación Mejora and attendees.· Sending information about services, activities, courses and events of interest run by the Fundación Mejora. · Consent of the data subject. Article 6.1(a) GDPR.· Processing necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract. Article 6.1(b) GDPR. · No data will be disclosed to third parties, except to the teachers of the courses taught or to public or private organisations collaborating in the Fundación Mejora’s activities, for the proper running of the activities and in compliance with legal obligations. · Data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any potential liabilities that may arise from that purpose and from its processing.· Once the aforementioned period has ended, the data will be retained for a maximum of 5 years for social security purposes and up to 10 years for potential money laundering reasons.
Candidate data

Article 6.1(a) GDPR.· This data will be obtained by means of photographs and/or recordings of attendees at the Fundación Mejora’s events, activities and meetings.

 

· Data may be disclosed to persons and entities collaborating with the Fundación Mejora in the organisation of events and activities.· Data may generally be disclosed to the events and exhibitions venue of the ‘Iglesia de Scientology de España’, where the Fundación Mejora’s events and activities are usually held. · Data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any potential liabilities that may arise from that purpose and from its processing.· In all cases, the data subjects’ rights of objection and revocation of consent will be safeguarded.

 

 

 

5. EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS

We hereby inform you that you may exercise the following rights:

• Right of access to your personal data to know which data is being processed and the processing operations carried out with it;

• Right to rectification of any inaccurate personal data;

• Right to erasure of your personal data, where possible;

• Right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data where the accuracy, lawfulness or necessity of the data processing is in doubt, in which case we will retain it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;

• Right to the portability of your personal data, where the legal basis authorising us to process it, among those indicated in the table above, is the contractual relationship or consent;

• Right to object to the processing of your personal data, where the legal basis authorising us to process it, among those indicated in the table above, is legitimate interest. To this end, we will cease processing your data unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;

• Right to revoke your consent;

• in order to use them in our publications, on our websites, or in the creation of graphic files or videos produced to inform about and/or publicise the Fundación Mejora’s services and activities.

You may exercise your rights at any time and free of charge by sending an email to fundacion@mejorandolasociedad.org indicating the right or rights you wish to exercise, your identifying details and enclosing a photocopy of your national identity card (DNI).

If you consider that we have not processed your personal data appropriately or if you consider that a breach of data protection legislation has been committed in relation to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).

 

6. COOKIES

We hereby inform you that the Fundación Mejora collects and stores limited personal information and anonymous aggregate statistics on all users who visit our website through data storage and retrieval devices (‘Cookies’). 7. SECURITY MEASURES

The Fundación Mejora applies the security levels required by the GDPR, adapting them to the nature of the data being processed at any given time, and has therefore adopted the necessary organisational and technical measures to prevent the alteration, loss of and unauthorised access to personal data and, specifically, the organisational and technical security measures set out in the documents comprising the Fundación Mejora’s Information Security Policy. Specifically, the Fundación Mejora has defined the authorisations for access to data, allows such access exclusively with identification and password, makes backup copies and keeps them secure, among other measures.

However, technical security in a medium such as the Internet is not impregnable and there may be malicious actions by third parties, although the Fundación Mejora employs all means at its disposal to prevent such actions.

 

8. MINORS

Minors may not use the services available through the Fundación Mejora’s websites without the prior authorisation of their parents, guardians or legal representatives, who will be solely responsible for all acts carried out through the Website by the minors in their care, including the completion of forms with the personal data of such minors and, where applicable, the ticking of the relevant boxes.

 

9. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

In compliance with Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI), we inform you that email addresses may be used to send information about our organisation. If you do not wish to receive this information or wish to revoke the consent granted for the processing of your personal data, please do so in the manner indicated above or by writing to the following email address: protecciondatos@fundaciones.org.

 

10. AMENDMENTS TO THIS POLICY.

The Fundación Mejora reserves the right to modify its Privacy Policy in accordance with the legislation applicable at any given time. Any modification to said Policy will be published on the Fundación Mejora’s websites.
